Perforated reels are LDPE bags that sit side by side on a reel and come off one at a time along a tear line. Structurally this product stands apart from the others in the category: those are film reels and the pack is formed on the machine, whereas here the bag is already made and the user turns the reel and tears one off.
Production
This product is LDPE and the film is produced in our own extrusion — it is the one exception in this category; OPP and CPP film we source from our approved suppliers. Printing and cutting are also done in our own facilities. Printing goes up to eight colours flexographically, and the product is also made unprinted.
Film reel or bag reel?
There are two different things in this category and they get confused. A film reel (printed, unprinted, automatic filling) goes into a packaging machine; the machine cuts, wraps and seals the film. In this bag reel the sealing and cutting are already done and the reel is used by hand. If you are feeding a machine, a film reel suits you; if you need ready-made bags, this product does.
Variants
The surface can be gloss or matt. The film gauge is chosen to suit the job. Bag size, reel width and reel diameter are set per order. Printing goes up to eight colours and the product is also made unprinted.
Material and compliance
The material is LDPE and the film is produced in our own extrusion — the other four products in this category are made from OPP/CPP film, and that film is sourced.
One point to note if you ship into the EU: our declaration of material composition covers shop bags and general-purpose polyethylene bags, and the reel format is not counted within that scope, which is why this page carries no PPWR scope claim. Tell us which documents you need and we will work out together which ones apply.
For food-contact work production is carried out under our declaration of compliance and only virgin polymer is used.
