Laminated reels are multi-layer reels obtained by combining two or more films. A single-layer reel has one film; in a laminated structure the layers sit on top of one another and the pack is formed from that combined structure.
Production
We source the laminated film; the lamination itself is not done in our own facilities. The flexographic printing and slitting applied to the film are done in our own facilities, and the reel is wound to the width and diameter your packaging machine needs. Printing goes up to eight colours; the product is also made unprinted.
If you are looking for mono-material, this is not it
We say this plainly because it is decisive for buyers shipping into the EU. A laminated structure contains more than one film layer by definition, so it is not mono-material. The scope of our declaration of material composition is this: garment and jacket bags, mailing bags, retail carrier bags and general purpose PE bags. Our reel products are not on that list, so this product falls outside the declaration and carries no mono-material claim on this page. Which reel for which job?
The other three film reels in this category are single-layer and are distinguished on different axes: printed and unprinted reels by printing, automatic filling reels by the machine they feed. What sets this product apart is the number of layers.
Variants
The surface can be gloss or matt. The film gauge is chosen to suit the job. Micro-perforation or a tear line can be added to the reel. Width and diameter are set to suit your line.
Food contact
For food-contact work production is carried out under our declaration of compliance and only virgin polymer is used.
