These are polyethylene bags whose mouth can be closed with an adhesive tape, or left untaped. In this product the tape can sit in two places and both are produced: a self-adhesive closing tape at the mouth of the bag, or a tape at the bottom. That is what sets this product apart from DEKA’s other PE bags — here the tape is not an option, it is the subject of the product.
Production
The product is mono-material 100% polyethylene. The film is produced in our own facilities by blown extrusion as a single layer; there is no lamination, no barrier layer, no metallised layer and no non-polyethylene component such as paper, aluminium or polyamide. Flexographic printing is applied in our own facilities and goes up to eight colours. Cutting and sealing are also done in our own facilities.
Lip tape or bottom tape?
They are two separate features. The lip tape sits at the mouth of the bag and is self-adhesive; the protective liner peels off and the bag closes. The bottom tape sits at the bottom. Untaped production is made as well — if no closure is needed, that is enough. Tell us how the product is filled and closed and we will decide together which one suits you.
Variants
A side or bottom gusset can be given. The surface can be gloss or matt. The film gauge is chosen to suit the job; printing goes up to eight colours and the bag is also produced unprinted.
Material and compliance
The product can be made to two formulations and they exclude one another. For food-contact work only virgin polymer is used and production is carried out under our declaration of compliance. Where recycled content is required, recycled polyethylene can be used at the requested share; that variant is for non-food use.

The size of what is packed, how the bag will be closed, whether the tape should be at the mouth or at the bottom, your printing requirement and your estimated annual volume. With that we work out the dimensions, gauge and print plan together.

Frequently asked questions
Are the lip tape and the bottom tape the same thing?
No, they are two separate features and we produce both. The lip tape sits at the mouth of the bag, is self-adhesive, and is closed by peeling off the protective liner. The bottom tape sits at the bottom of the bag. Which one you need follows how the product is filled and closed, and we settle that together.
Do you also produce it untaped?
Yes. The product name already carries both: taped and untaped production is made. If no closure is needed, untaped production is enough.
What dimensions and gauge do you produce?
Dimensions and gauge are set per order. Tell us the size of what is packed and how the bag will be used, and we will settle the specification together.
Can it be printed?
Yes, flexographic printing goes up to eight colours. The print area and layout are planned per order; the bag is also produced unprinted.
Can it be used for food-contact products?
Yes, food-contact production is available on request. In that case production is carried out under our declaration of compliance and only virgin polymer is used.
